Today, I was given a beautiful gift.
A lovely foodie-based piece of art created by local artist, Celine Meador; a Pear created using pastels. I absolutely love it.
Celine is Reed Meador’s mom.
I recently wrote an article highlighting Reed and her new shop in downtown Mebane: Reed’s Downtown Table. The article has been well-received by the entire community – and I really couldn’t be more thrilled. Clearly, the article has also been well-received by the Meador family. Last week, Reed’s dad mentioned what a fun writeup it was; and then this week, a beautiful piece of artwork for my kitchen from Reed’s mom.
I love writing and making great connections – it’s a no-brainer then, that I use my writing as often as I can to connect an audience with a great idea or establishment. In this case, I wrote about Reed’s adventures and how her recent decision to plant roots in Alamance County will positively impact the local area.
And I believe it.
I’m there often enough, meeting with friends or working on objectives for jab’s plethora, to know that people are coming in and loving this new spot downtown.
I am really happy to have been a catalyst for getting the word out — and, of course, I am thrilled to be honored with such a lovely gift from the Meador family.
